Browse anything with a web browser

Have you ever wished the Finder were more browser-like? Or have you ever wanted a quick way to navigate the contents of a hidden folder, or to browse through the files in an application's bundle? Or do you spend so much time your Web browser that you wished you could use it to navigate the Finder? Well, if you're a user of OmniWeb, Firefox, or Camino, you can. (sorry, Safari users, but this tip won't work for you.)

To browse your local files and folders in any of those three browsers, just type the path to the folder you'd like to reach in the URL bar, preceded by file:/// (yes, three slashes). For instance, to browse my Pictures folder, I would just enter file:///Users/robg/Pictures and press Return. Using Camino, this is what then shows up in the browser window:

Holidaymakers set to reap sterling benefits

Long haul destinations like South Africa, Dubai, Egypt and Mexico join Turkey, best value in Europe, as the countries where the pound will stretch further for UK holidaymakers this year.

According to a travel money survey by the Post Office, comparing currency movement trends in 16 destinations, sterling has gained ground in three-quarters of the countries surveyed over the past year.

The most marked growth has been in South Africa where sterling strengthened against the rand by nearly 21%.

Post Office Head of Travel Kevin McAdam said: “The continued growth of sterling is part of a long term trend that has seen the South African rand more than halve in value over the past decade. In that time demand for safaris, Garden Route tours and Cape Town breaks has mushroomed.

2 die in elephant charge in western Zimbabwe

HARARE, Zimbabwe - Two British tourists died when an elephant charged them in western Zimbabwe, the British Embassy in Harare said Monday. A third injured Briton was hospitalized with serious injuries.

Zimbabwe authorities declined to identify the tourists until their family was notified, but said the dead were a mother and daughter. They said the injured Briton was the husband and father of the two who died.

The family was on a walking safari in the Hwange National Park on Saturday and was accompanied by a guide and a professional hunter.

Authorities said the family was attacked by a bull elephant that was exceptionally aggressive because it was in musk. The guide fired a shot at the elephant but missed.

Police in the western provincial capital of Bulawayo and wildlife authorities reported investigations were under way to see whether the tour group's armed local guides had been negligent, though guides are often taken by surprise by the speed of such attacks.

What I Like About You - The Complete First Season

What I Like About You is a sitcom that aired from 2002 to 2006. The series had four seasons and a total of eighty-six episodes. It is about two sisters who live together and the various endeavors and adventures they embark upon with their closest friends and significant others. The show has a light-hearted, wholesome feeling, which works nicely as a family-oriented comedy.

The two primary characters are Holly Tyler (Amanda Bynes), a quirky sixteen year old girl, and Valerie "Val" Tyler (Jennie Garth), Holly's neurotic older sister who works in public relations. The two sisters are brought together in the series pilot episode when their father is promoted. His new job is in Japan. What that means for Holly, is relocation. Not wanting to move, she goes to New York City and lives with her sister.

Muse: Air

Since the release of their critically acclaimed debut album Moon Safari almost 10 years ago, Jean-Benoit Dunckel and Nicolas Godin of Air have drawn many followers with their electronic sound. Their newest effort, Pocket Symphony, does the same as it delves into their usual sonic landscapes and delivers a collection of beautifully constructed music.

"Space Maker," the first track on the album, is also one of the most enjoyable, with a purely instrumental collection of guitar, piano, strings, synth, bass and percussion that adds to the contemplative mood of the album.

But in the song "One Hell of a Party," it becomes most clear why Air is considered a driving force in experimental music. Godin plays a collection of traditional Japanese string instruments, including the koto and shamisen.
