| Mozilla Minimo 0.2 available as a free download
Mozilla's mobile browser product Minimo has been updated to version 0.2 and is available as a free download from their website. The software application is compatible with the Windows Mobile 5.0 platform and the users claim that this updated version is smaller and faster than previous versions. The developers said that this mobile browser has been designed to be an alternative to the browser that comes with Windows Mobile platform. The project however faces intense competition from the other players in the market. Opera already is a dominating player in the mobile browser segment. Nokia is working on their own browser product using open-source components from Apple's Safari browser and Microsoft has just released a new concept mobile browser technology which might become a regular offering from the in the coming years.
Video helps overhaul district's curriculum
In an effort to revamp its curriculum, Baltimore County Public Schools--the nation¹s 25th-largest school system--has installed video servers and a video-on-demand system in all of its 169 schools. Although the use of video on demand is nothing new for schools, what distinguishes Baltimore County¹s effort is that the district has formed teams of teachers in each school to brainstorm ways of using the videos to their fullest potential across each subject area. April 12, 2007—Recognizing the need to engage a new generation of students who are visual learners, Maryland's Baltimore County Public Schools--the nation's 25th-largest school system--has installed video servers and a video-on-demand system in all of its 169 schools. The system, SAFARI Montage by the Library Video Company, will allow teachers to access and play more than a thousand video programs from leading publishers such as National Geographic and Scholastic.

Next, drag the (newly downloaded) older release to the /Applications folder. Site rendering issues Some users are reporting site rendering issues under Firefox 2.00.3. MacFixIt reader Ted Grigg writes: "Buttons do not render showing frequent broken links and inferior page rendering making the program unusable for me. I now use Camino and Safari (and occasionally OmniWeb) instead of Firefox." Another reader adds: "I installed Firefox 2.0.0.3, nd now I'm uninstalling it. Captains take series finale over Suns
HAGERSTOWN, Md. - The Hagerstown Suns dropped the finale of their three game series with the Lake County Captains by a score of 10-4 on Friday night at Municipal Stadium. The Captains big inning came in the fourth, when they scored five runs off a combination of Yunior Novoa and Matthew Perks. Matt Whitney had the big hit for Lake County, with a three-run double. Leonard Davis hit a solo home run and Joe Napoli went 2-5 with a double and two RBI for Hagerstown. The Suns mounted a rally in the ninth, but only were able to score one run and left the bases loaded in the frame. Captains starter Jeanmar Gomez picked up his first win of the season. The Suns embark on a six-game road trip beginning in Lake County tomorrow afternoon, first pitch is at 1:05. The team returns home on Friday, April 27th to take on the Delmarva Shorebirds at 6:35 pm.
